Well, I picked up the car today, and it's not quite perfect.
The microphone on the bluetooth doesn't work anymore, so I can't use the phoen, and version 16.2 has overwritten the settings for my folding mirrors, so they don't work anymore.
Also, the dealer managed to kerb an alloy..
I will bring it back on Thursday..

Mhoutman, you were right. The bluetooth doesn't work because they used that microphone for the voice recognition. It needs a second mic, which was IN THE BOX! Duh.

There are two mics labeled (1) in the picture below. The one on the left is for the phone (BT or CPT9000) and the one on the right for Voice commands. It maybe reversed for RHD cars.

Well, 10 weeks later they finally got it all to work.. All's well that ends well.

And they threw in that storage compartment under the light switch for free. Nice.

The story is getting really crazy! Here it is:

I have got a part number from BMW UK as it seem that the voice retrofit is available teh part number is: 8464 0396 162. My dealer in Kent tell me that the parts cost is 165.96 pounds ex VAT. The labour cost is 249.90 pounds ex VAT! Then they want another 260.00 pounds ex VAT for something they need from Germany to be able to execute the upgrade (software?)!!!!!!! So, in order to have the Voice recognition retrofitted they want 675.00 pounds ex VAT to do it!!!

Where did you guys got all this different dealers in UK who do or has done the retrofit for so much less? Am I missing something here?

BTW. I have 530d Sport with the Professional Navigation and bluetooth (working happily with Motorola V3, retrofitted AUX input and the 16.1 software.

Regards,
Wlodek
