My Ride: 530D SPORT MEDIA PACKAGE, SITTING ON 19'S
hey guys,
just a quick question really, i have 2005 model 530d sport with the media pack i just wanted to know weather this pack should have the voice command feature on it i have looked threw previous posts and some say the do and some say they dont i have found 2004 models with the voice pack which i find really weird. spoken to my dealer he said it shouldnt do but when speaking to the service manager he said it should
now i am really confused
somebody please help

Up until Sep 06 Voice was not part of the Media pack and had to be ordered separately as an option. Now for the best part, you can actually retrofit Voice for less money than the factory option, weird but true because I did it.

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

The trouble you experienced with the code from BMW after the Progman upgrade, is now a general requirement also for the initial voice retrofit making it much much more expensive.
It always was but the dealers could circumvent it and did, hence doing the retrofit cheaply. BMW HQ has locked this one up with the activation codes now.

My e60 has Extended Voice Control and I didn't order it separately.
