Hello all,
I recently found out that for the 535xi Sport package, the wheels that come with it are not the 18 inch runflats. Instead they are 17 inch all season radials.
The net-net is this: If you have an LCI 535xi Sport on order and think it is coming with 18's, you have to pay an additional $600 option to get them. You might want to check your order contents to make sure you are getting what you intended to have in the first place because this is about a $600 option at order time and about a $3,000 option to purchase the wheels and tires new from BMW.
Hope this helps someone else out there.
Thanks,
Bryan

This is true. The only way I knew about this when ordering my 2007 530xi Sport was this site! I love this site!

Uh looks pretty clear. Did salesman say something to the contrary. I actually believe BMW is very accurate about what is an oprion and what isnt.

Bryan, they gave you a hard time? I knew it was going to be difficult once you left the dealer with your car. if this is the case I would try to get some sort of concession from them. I would attempt to get the wheels for half the price due to the ignorance of the sales person. They may flip the script and say you should have known and you can counter by stating that you wanted to buy an 2007 which comes with the 18' wheels and your research was done based on that model and you were unaware that with the 2008 the wheels were an option. Then tell them this was one of the reasons you ordered the sports pack. I'd go to the top guy for this approach, the sales manager. If this does not work ask to speak to the GM, they don't want that. Don't ask for the GM to soon and be professional about it without getting emotional.
Hope that helps, Rick....

Whatever you end up doing, make sure you get the 124's for the xi and NOT for the standard RWD cars. BMW makes 2 sets of the 124's. The xi set has a high offset. If you get the wrong one's, they won't work on the car. Just a heads up Bryan. I could easily see your dealer screwing this up to and you end up with non-xi 124's. Good luck!
PS - I'm a pro with the specs and what works and what doesn't with the xi. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I've helped many xi owners on this forum. If you need help, feel free to PM me.

You can't blame them by saying this is how it was on the 2007 because that is not the case.
