I see that the retrofit for nav is available, so is the retrofit for voice control available aswell?

Members that have the voice control, how good is it?

The retrofit kit Professional NAV (Option Code S609A) includes the Voice Control Input system.

From your signature, it looks like your 525d does not have bluetooth telephone or bmw prof telephone, therefore the part number to upgrade your business Nav to Prof Nav (609) is:

65.90.0.397.300

I would guess that this is the 'lowest cost' upgrade to Prof NAV since you already have Bus NAV.

I haven't seen any details for a Voice Control retrofit in the ETK and I am pretty sure that it ONLY comes with Prof NAV.... Sorry

Just phoned my dealer. ?2500 +VAT just for the parts. I didnt bother to ask about the fitting time. looks like i will give it a miss.

 

BMW = SONY...... very expensive options and accesseries and upgrades


Just so you know, the fitting time for upgrading from Bus to Prof Nav is about 4 to 5 hours - which means 1 day charge from the average UK BMW dealership...

 

Its definetly not worth at all worth ?3k. Not a big difference between pro and buisness nav anyway.

Not 535d unfortunately. But an M5 for B5 for defo in about a years time. I got a quote for my dealer on an M5, he said that if i order know i will get it a year from now.

I was very tempted but i wanted to keep my 525d for abit longer and i wanted to see what Alpina could offer.

 

If you want a B5 and you order now, you'll have to wait until mid 2006 to get it...

I had one on order from over a year ago which would have been one of the first batch, but I cancelled that order in favour of an AM
