Voice command useless for NAV

My Ride: 09 535i Xdrive Technology package Premium Package Audiophile Sound Package

Does anyone else have the problem of the NAV not recognizing city names?For the life of me I can not get it to recognize my city, Ottawa, at all.It gives me 6 crazy choices that are no where close in pronounciation and so the only option is to constantly having to spell the city name.My dealer says there is nothing that can be done,but I find that for the value of the car, that is unnacceptable

Probably because it doesn't recognize your "O" s.........

Try saying "hot a wa" making the 'h' a bit more silent instead of "Ohh ta wa"

The voice command on the E60 is lacking. I don't use it too often since I find it easier to use iDrive instead.
