Do you have the V60 phone or the BMW phone installed? My dealer told me that I needed the phone installed in order to have the Voice command working.
There are two different voice command systems: one for the phone (CPT9000), and one that gets installed with the Nav Pro (in the US). Just yesterday, I sat in a 545 with NAV and HUD, and the voice control worked like a champ.
BTW, the HUD looked awesome. The display was lightyears better than the HUD in my 97 Grand Prix.

NJe60 - I do not have a phone yet. Waiting for the retrofit for Bluetooth. My voice comand works fine, as it is training me how to use it. But I would still like to see some documentation of the levels and steps to go through different comands that it will take. I talked to BMWNA and suggested a web link for that documentation for those owners that wanted that information.

I picked up my new 530 with NAV last week and the voice commands work fine. Without cracking the manual my ten year old video game addicted son figured out most of the commands within the first half hour. It seems to work very well and can understand my commands about 90% of the time. I find that some commands and phrasing of words work better than others. So far I've been able to control the radio, CD, NAV, and climate.

Saw the dealer today. Service manager first said that Voice Command didn't work without a phone and an added TCU. I told service advisor about the postings here and he advised not to believe everything that you read on the internet.
However he did check the BMWNA and found that with a software download from them and an upload to my car he could activate voice command. Claims it is not necessary to upgrade SW v10.2 to v11.0 As it will take a couple of hours I will have it done next week.
I will post how it turns out.
