I paired my android phone with car, the address book was transfered without any problem.

Does the voice activation system work without navigation package.

I mean can i say the name of person, and car can dial that person's number ?

I don't think so. I recall navigation being required for voice activation though there may be some capability. What year is your car?

My car is an '06 530i... I can use my bluetooth paired phone with voice commands, but it's pretty limited. You can tell it to "dial number" and then read off the digits or you can say "dial name", but you have to train the system on names - it doesn't automatically recognize names that are in your phonebook...

Use of voice commands does NOT require NAV in the E60. It is part of the premium sound package.
