My Ride: 2008 520d LCI. HUD, active lights + high beam assistant, panoramic sunroof, manual gbox, grey leather and navi professional. It's a nice car with an impressive engine.

I no longer have visual confirmation when i lock or unlock my car. Idrive will not accept activation of it eighter!!! The checkboxes goes blank one second after i check them...
I unplugged the battery for about 10 minutes last night, but the problem is still there!!!

I have a 2008 lci by the way.

Anyone with suggestions about this problem?

Is Visual Confirmation not selectable even when the engine is on?

I understand what you mean, but I think you need t take it to the dealer for them to fix - should be under warranty, it's a 2008. It seems some files in the software may have gotten corrupted - it happens to the best of computers.

Thx for your reply my friend.
I kinda thought so, but i hoped there would be some miracle thing i could do myself... I live and work too far away from the local dealership to just "drop by". I would have to get this done when i take it in for service. But that is in about two months!

I would have to go around knowing that my car is corrupted for that long

I don't know if i can take that.
I would probably brake down completely. In about one week or so.

Is there a therapist in here who can help me get through this tough time??
