Hey guys, hoping you could help me out as the dealer was absolutely useless with this problem. Could not get off anything except blaming my aftermarkent supersprint muffler on every vibration which clearly was not the case since it only started 2 months ago and I have had the muffler for 2 years however once they get it stuck in their head I cannot argue. So I am taking it to another dealer here in a couple weeks.

Basically the steering wheel and seat, especially driver side vibrates and has a rough idle, whether it is in N or Drive. The problem and vibration is probably doubled when I hit the A/C button and the vibration does not subside nor do the RPMS move during any of this.

The vibration completely goes away with all driving, acceleration, stopping etc. Purely at idle.

I have had two situations like this before in chev's I have owned.
1.MOtor mounts-I believe usually causes problems while driving but I had this happen exactly like now at idle and this was the fix.
2.idle control motor-Not sure what they call it on our cars but whatever the equivelent is. I have no erratic idle but since the A/C really increases it, I have a feeling it is this piece.
3.I did have a bent idler pulley for some time and wondering if that effected any of the other pulleys, throwing them off?

Any thoughts would be great so I can actually give the dealer some ideas instead of letting them scratch their heads like usual. Had to diagnosis my last 2 problems myself getting under the car with the tech at the dealership and pointing things out.

Lame!

Thanks

I just brought my 550i in yesterday for a similar problem, but not as drastic. I only feel the vibration through the seat. I'm supposed to get it back on monday, so I'll let you know if they were able to correct the problem.
