My Ride: 2004 BMW 530I SPORT. BLACK BEAUTY. HEADS UP, NAVI,AC SCHNITZER ROOF SPOILER, TRUNK LIP SPOILER, 20 IN AXIS PENTA (NOW PAINTED BLACK). M-TECH KIT, EIBACH SPORTS.
I HOPE THAT SOMEONE CAN HELP ME OUT. I NOTICED ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO, A VIBRATION UNDER MY 2004 530 WHEN ACCELERATING AND WHEN OFF THE GAS.
VERY SLIM VIBRATION WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. VIBRATION OCCURS AT ANY SPEED. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY 20 INCH WHEELS, BUT I SWAPPED WITH MY STOCK AND SAME PROBLEM. DEALER TOLD ME THAT IT MIGHT BE "ROAD FORCE". WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?. I PUT MY STOCK WHEELS ON JUST TO AVOID THE DEALER BLAMING THE PROBLEM ON BIGGER WHEELS. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY STOCK WHEELS. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS MY BRAKES/ROTORS. THEY DON'T LOOK TOO SMOOTH. YOU CAN FEEL THE WAVES IN THEM. I KNOW WITH BRAKE ROTOR PROBLEMS, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD VIBRATE. MY STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT VIBRATE VERY MUCH. DEALER MECHANIC SAID THAT MY FRONT END IS PERFECT. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE?

I had slight vibration on the whole car between 80-120km/h. The passenger seat would vibrate back and forth but the steering wheel was not really affected.
Had all the wheels re-balanced and 2 plastic hubcentric rings were found broken. The were repalced with aluminium ones. Problem was solved.
If you're getting pronounced vibration when braking you're rotors probably need replacement. If there really off, they will affect you slightly as well without braking. Had this experience on my E46 some time ago.
ps. no apologies needed for CAPS, just switch them off!!

Obviously a man like myself, takes 10 minutes, two finger typing a post, looking at the keyboard all the time. Only when it is finished do you look up and realise IT IS IN CAPS!!!
And couldn't face the time taken to retype it all.

sounds like your rotor need to be changed. Get them checked out to see if they are worped.
have you been to a car wash right after a long drive or hard brakeing.
this will bent the rotors very easy.
