I was not on this board during JDN's lifetime. I took some time to read a smattering of his over 4,000 posts and was struck by how classy, knowledgeable and helpful to other members he was.
I was really saddened by his last post, written weeks before his death, in which he could only write "x". He was clearly so weak by then but still wanted to be a part of this community.
I am sorry I never got the chance to know him in life.
RIP JDN.

Was planning on bumping this one in a few days (on the 10th) and commemorating his birthday (today) in the other thread.
Either way, it's always great to see how many of our forum members were touched by JDN's time here. He really was a great man who we have not forgotten!

Chiming in to pay my yearly respect to JDN. And just as important, respect for this forum and the members who show time and time again that you are all class acts.
I never knew him, but from the active and involving life he clearly led I'm sure St. Peter smiled on him as he walked up to the gates in heaven (its a good thing he had shadowline trim though, or he might have sent him back). All jokes aside, may he rest in peace.
