I have comfort access on my LCI 550. The keyless opening and closing and ignition start and stop functions work fine - except on one block in downtown Boston. I end up parking there about once a week and without fail, the remote locking function - either by using the fob button or by placing my finger on a door handle - works fine. Also, with the comfort access fob in the car, starting and stopping the engine by simply pushing the start button works fine . . . .
. . . . but on that single block, the car will not remotely unlock - either with the button on the key fob or by placing my finger on the door handle. The only way that I can unlock the car on that block is to use the physical key.
Strange behavior. What gives?

I used to have that problem with my E39s in a specific parking space located very close to a large radio tower. Obviously, there was some sort of radio interference that must have interfered with or otherwise jammed the frequency that the car used.
I suppose if the signal is strong enough, even CA would be affected. Also, it could be that if there is any significant interference, the CAS module may just disable all remote unlocking, etc. as a fail safe...

Signal reflections can wreak havoc as well...
Could also be a "sensitive" area, using some kind of active technology. There are areas in and around DC that are effectively dead zones, and when you think about proximity it's very easy to conclude that it's intentional.
