Please set apart few minutes in order to be jointly liable with me, because they stole car's key stealthily and then my beloved 530d disappeared.
Therefore my advice is : beware never put your key in your outer pocket.
Trying to soothe my pain this afternoon I drove, with my dealer, a 535d:
simply fantastic and astonishing, but my car ,8 months old, was another thing.
I wish you all will never be in that situation.

I'm leaving my keys at the door.. If they want to steal them.. take em and leave me alone when I am in my bed..
Insurance will cover this as long as they broke into my house and take em..

ouch, that's horrible.? Do you have theft insurance???? Is there any way they can track the car with BMW Assist? What have the police had to say?

gdavis, we have talked about the bmw assist before and they can't track down the car :'(. they know where the car is only when we use the sos button inside the car. and i don't think that thief will press that button.

Bad news...
sorry to hear this.
Agree with your advice - my keys are always in my front trouser pocket.
Look at the positive side. Hopefully you will get your insurance payout and go for a 535d!
Also: could have been worst -: be in a carjack situation and get your life threatened...
Hang in there....
