YES! This is THE main reason why I've been waiting before ordering.

Why would you wait to order your car????? That makes no sense. They update software all the time. They will update it at VPC and you will update it many times during ownership. I know its a big purchase, just hold your nose and jump. you will not regret it. It looks like you are looking for excuses not to order.

Rudy,

IMO this is a mistake.? I have had your version, 13.2 and 13.3.? So close to the availability of V15 I would definately hold out for it.? The V13xs reboot once a week,? they are at time painfully unresponsive.? Like typing and then seeing the results on the screen 3 or 5 seconds later.? They also take an age to boot.? I never experinced this in the version I had in July when I took ED.
From what Ks reports V15 is fast, responsive,? fixes the audio on problem and is hopefully stable.
I know you are impatient to get your scheduled sat install but you really shoul insist on V15.

I have all of the above problems now with 12.2! I'll ask for version 15 but if they don't have it, I'm still going for the upgrade. Worst case is if I don't get 15 and find 13.x worse than my currrent version, I'll schedule a second appointment as soon as they get 15...

(Yes, you're right -- nothing is going to stop me from getting my Sirius! )

KC:? What is?? Hormazd is right, every version has had issues that are fixed in subsequent updates.? It's a bit like waiting for the fastest computer.? There's always something better coming.

- TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor) false check control message in CID (Central Information Display). Vehicle produced from 3/04 to 12/04 only. Recode entire vehicle.
Funny. I always thought it was FTM.

KC: It is a FTM. Simple verbage difference, he was quoting the BMW document, but a FTM is what it is.

- Vehicles equipped with automatic 6HP26, loss of power decelerating to a stop and making a turn. Vehicles produced 9/03 ? 12/04.
Is this the delay from teh start issue? (Throttle response). I hope they've fixed that .

KC: Doesn't sound like the same and franklyt I don't recall hearing of this problem. As for me, the throttle delay was resolved w/ 15.0.

Ye who hath version 15:
-Did this version bring about any new problems?

KC: None that I've come across so far. All is good!

Umm... why'd you quote my message?
Edit: OH. I didn't notice your replies within the quote. Sorry.

Well. I was planning on ED in the summer (ED is a real bitch in the winter I heard). And there's more to it than that (a LOT more to it than that).

Another reasin being that I'm waiting for the R6 engine . Does that justify enough for ya? And beleive me, I'm NOT looking for an excuse to not buy this car .

Cool TPG. I waited last year because I wanted a summer ED and was waiting for my kids to get out of school before the trip. Waiting for the R6 is also well worth it. I was just saying that SW updates are no reason to wait and certainly not the MAIN reason. Need ED tips, PM me.
