I have booked my car into my Dealer for version 13 on Friday, I had to almost invent a problem because they do not think it should be free for missing features.

Can somebody give me a summary of the new features please?

Thanks!

I will do my best, although they did seem to think that MP3 will not be there and the Voice would need an extra button next to the Menu button on the I-drive,so do not hold your breath

Is version 13 available in the US?
How long does it actually takes to load? I've heard different times here, 2 hours, etc...
This should be a free of charge maintenance, right?

S/w updates can be done in less than 4 hours.
Version 13 should be available and it's not free. It's only free if you have a problem, what gets solved with the software update. So reading this board pays out, since you can just tell them you experience this or that problem and they will update the software then for free, since it's problem solving (warranty).

Thanks Iceman,
So I guess telling them that the steering wheel does not goes back to the set position until I push/hold the memory button and that the CD always start on track 1 should do.

Any other software related problems?

Idrive freeze allways works out for you! And when you mention the other problems... you'll get it for free. You could also say that you are using the hourl<y chime (memo) and that it's too loud and you can't adjust the volume (fixed since version 12)...
But again, Idrive freeze is allways a good point...
