I have a Velocity Booster installed for about two years now and never had any issues until this past weekend when I got the Engine Malfunction - Reduced Power warning light and my car would not accelerate at all. The warning and lack of acceleration went away when I turned the Velocity device off.

Also, for the last few months I have a noticed an occasional jerkiness when cruising at 40-50 mph usually. It's not like a changing gear jerk. I am just cruising (not accelerating) and it would give a quick herky response. This is with my foot applying unchanged pressure on the pedal.

I'm not sure if the jerkiness is being caused by the Velocity, but with these two issues I am starting to become a little concerned about potential serious damage. Just wanted to gather the thoughts of the forum and see if anyone else has had similar experiences or opinions.

I didn't have the same mod as yours, but I did a ECU reflash for the same concept as the velocity to mess with the pedal response. I experience the same I-Drive fault within a day of the reflash which I had to take it to my dealer. The dealer found a faulty fuel pump and reprogram car before everything was okay. I don't know what it does when messing with your throttle response, but that's what I have experience. So now I stay away from that kind of mod even though the slow throttle response bothers me.

I had my Velocity Booster causing the same problems.

Got rid of the Velocity Booster and replaced it with a Sprint Booster, no problems.

Apparently, they can short circuit and break down. It's a shame really... because the quality and user-friendliness of the Velocity is better than Sprint Booster I thought...

The question I want answers for from this forum is... has anyone had their Sprint Booster/ Velocity Booster for more than 3+ years and had no problems?

I want to know if Sprint Booster/ Velocity Booster has a life of only approximately 1~2 years?
