My Ride: 2006 530i

VANOS Solenoid - Dorman brand reputable?

I am looking at VANOS solenoids, and BMW ones are around 120 or so, but then I saw that the Dorman branded ones are around 60 bucks.

Anyone have experience with Dorman solenoids?

how about you buy them and tell us?

because saving a $100 is not worth the risk for me

+1, as much as I like getting hot deals, VANOS solenoids are not something I'd be willing to gamble on.

No way I'd put the Dorman part in the car. Not worth the savings. In general, I only put parts in the car that are actual suppliers to BMW in the first place for that particular part.
