Due to hard working I missed this thread Andreas.. I'm glad everything worked out okay with the Car.
My vacation finally has started!! Three weeks of nothing to do.. Okay I have to go back to finish some small things at the office next monday.. but then.. VACATION!!! Marie-Jeanne and I want to visit some cities during the holiday.. I'll give you a call if we plan anything near Maastricht.
Keep us posted on when you have your car back!

I have had mine for about 4 weeks so I assume it's well out of the build dates you mentioned and have noticed that at idle (at a stoplight for example) I do feel a slight vibration, more of a rumble in the seat of my pants really. I don't notice any rattle or noise. I don't know if this is related. Frankly it doesn't bother me and I'm not going to do anything about it.

Just picked up the car. Engine was cold, drove off, all sounds pretty quiet and smooth. Seems to be good. I have a Valvetronic lever which the mechanic gave me, will make a few pics later.
They changed the engine oil and brake fluid, which was nice. I am really happy I have my car back after 5 days.

Glad to hear you're whole again Andy...
In case anyone is interested, here are the two TIS documents regarding the replacement of the Valvetronic intermediate levers (referenced in the SIB .pdf Andy posted.)
I'm not going to spend the time linking all the sub-documents as I often do -- it's way too much work for something that isn't likely a DIY job...

Thanks Andy,
I am forwarding this thread to BMWNA. I hope you don't mind. Maybe they'll authorize this work on my car.
Andy, is the car running quietly now when cold?
