Hello Everyone,
My CPO warranty expired on Jan 03, 2010.
I attended a free customer appreciation day on March 8th where a courtesy inspection was performed and a 'small' valve leak was discovered. SA said it probably leaks less than a quart a year and that 'they happen all the time with these cars'.
That said, I opened a case with BMW NA and they just left me a voice mail stating they can only offer a 10% discount to fix it. I can get a 10% discount at a stealership WITH ME EYES CLOSED!
This was CLEARLY leaking when the car was still under warranty. Should I just forget about it? Most advise on here states to YELL louder and esclate until I get the answer I want. Am I in the right here?
Ideas and suggestions?
Brian

You'll need to have some kind of documentation that the leak was there before to have a truly successful case with BMW NA. Have you ever complained that your car is going through more oil than you feel it should, or anything like that?
Another idea: get an independent mech to look at it and see if it may be some sort of tiny issue that can be resolved on the cheap.
