and i looked into the credit card minimum purchase thing. by definition it is not illegal. it violates the contractual agreement between the business and the credit card company (Visa and Mastercard only)

Visa says its bylaws clearly state that merchants must not establish a minimum transaction amount. That's done, "To protect Visa cardholders so they can expect to use their cards anywhere, anyhow and anytime Visa is accepted," says a spokesman.

"If Visa finds out about a violation, Visa will issue an enforcement letter to the acquiring bank that enables the merchant to accept the card. It's up to the acquirer as to how to deal with the merchant."

MasterCard is also emphatic about dealing with violations although MasterCard deals with them directly.

Now I have thread jacked and given sdg1871 the opportunity to remind me that i need to go to law school.

Word! Well, I been in the law game for 14 years and still don't have a M5 (I could for the price of my lease payment and my parking spot in my apartment building in Manhattan ). But 550 is the next best thing.

So Craig, get up off your butt and go to law school. Want tips for getting into a good law school, PM me. I know the game well.

ok so now they are saying insurance will take care of it. im looking at the rim and the paint from the curb is now off my rim. the damage is nto noticeable unless u look really really close and feel the rim. its like the width of a hair and its black accross the edge of the rim. really hard to notice. should i even go through w/ this? do i have a shot? im just mad they they are backing out of their word. they actually denied it in total now
Those bastards. F em. Time to sue! I would send the company a demand letter, with copies of your picture recounting the incident in full and the representations of their manager. I would tell them that if they do not make payment in full within 5 days you will: (1) sue them in small claims court; (2) file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau; and (3) file a complaint with the city and state Department of Consumer Protection.

I love making SOBs pay for their wrongful conduct. It's very cathartic.

Now get to work and make em pay!!

the attorney i dated (remember the one i made reference to about me not dating forever, that was her, haha) drove an altima.

the only thing i miss about her was the heated constitutional law arguments. she kept me on my toes.... a lot of the women i date couldnt have a good discussion about anything more complex then shapes and colors.
