My update this week reversed those things that were corrected in the Oct. 1-28 update.
Now the steering wheel no longer raises on exit.
No BMW Assist screen.
AM radio still has static
plus
Now no HUD menu
No NAV in HUD
No PDC menu and no PDC screen

Park Distance Screen not available.
plus
A dealer ding in left rear door.
Car was dirtier than sin (14 days of accumulated dust)
Trunk cover was left off electrical connections.
AC noise which was first written up on 10/1 now on back order with indeterminate date for arrival in parts dept.

I did get a Fedex letter from BMW NA yesterday in response to my lemon law notice. They said they would contact me. I don't know where this thing is going, but I am afraid to spend any more $$ on this car - think sport exhaust.

Wow JDN, sounds like some incompetent service techs over there! I think most of the things that you are now missing are things that need to be activated or configured during the software install/update. The ding, dirty car, and trunk panel off is simply inexcusable!

Hope you get it all sorted out soon...

Thanks, Rudy. If nothing else, I have the leverage to encourage BMW NA to get involved in the process or else. The inadequacy of this dealership has proven to be astounding. I always thought that this was a pretty good dealership, but now they can't even diagnose and fix a mechanical problem like the AC on a timely basis.

Sorry that you're having so much trouble JDN. All I can say is my dealer, whom I've been happy with for over 15 years, is looking better and better each day!
