Does the software upgrade enable RDS support with Nav? I currently don't get any song information from FM radio stations. I've seen posts that folks without Nav get this.

What's the word?

Thanks,
-Rob

akirax: No perspective view. Interestingly jmciaido's TIS post here, does say that the perspective view is part of the professional navigation, and there have been posts on other boards about Japanese (?) 5 series having this view.

Rob: I have always had RDS - i.e. station name. Do you mean RDS text showing song title and further program information? If so, no I don't think that is on there. I will check back on the FM Manual screen (which is where it's likely to show)

Spoke to the dealer again today.

He is going to fax me the v12.1.2 bug fix list from TIS as soon as it appears. Apparently the documentation lags behind the actual s/w - (nice to know what you are installing )

Also, I am hoping to spoof a 2004-2 navigation disc off them gratis, because of the TMC problem on 2004-1. I spoke to BMW customer services in Reading and they will speak to the dealer about it.
