When I purchased my car part of the deal was to have a print out of the software version number. My car (only a couple of weeks old now) goes in for some software work next week. No RDS and suddenly BT that was there has taken a vacation! My 545 came with v14, they will either fix the problem or update to the new version. It has to stay there for 4 days so I am guessing it is the update to 15.

thsi is bugging me......i want to know what software version i have. can i just do into the dealer and then they hook me up, then tell me what software version i have?

who is good to do this around NYC?

Waiting for february delivery of 325i Touring and 130i

About software...some thoughts

This community seems very keen on having all latest software updates. (Myself included) Driving a 545i Touring for about 5 months now, several interim software updates screwed 2 CCC units and some bugs still remain.

Personally, I believe BMW will never sort out all problems, and at the time they will, a new 5-serie is released.

The lesson is learned is: don't update your software except in case of major trouble. Read what other experience - let them do the beta -testing- an don't drive your self crazy

And if you are really getting nervous about the fact that your software is not the latest visit your dealer with some unidentified error and have the update done.

Can I have V 15.1 now

I was told by my dealer (last Saturday) that 14 is not even coming and they are waiting for v15. The latest version they currently have is 13.2 How come BMW of NA is so disorganized? Maybe it's time to contact BMW AG (corporate)?

Only your dealer can tell you. But it should be 13.2

Maybe they just decided to skip 14, since they were getting ready with the 15 what fixes a problem that 14 created.
