Over in Russia we had mechanics that would ressurect any car for a few bottles of vodka and some prime beef back in the day... but that's back in the day - now its a few cases of Krystal and some fishscale 
Anyway, I hope he can get at least some money out of his insurance policy - I'd keep trying until I was credibly threatened with jail, if that were my car...wow man, I just can't get over this - I can't even imagine what he must feel like...

Update : Building Management giving 50% for all the cars repairs but wont pay for the BMW as it did not belong to the flat owner but the flat owners brother, and the parking spot was for tenants parking not guest parking which is upstairs. sajal525 dropped his car there because he had construction going on at his house and took his sisters COROLLA to his house.

Don' know how, but know on a Steptronic you can.
