Default Used spare key...All settings reset!!! A little annoying

Not sure if this has been covered, like the title says I used my spair key this morning to switch things up a little bit been using one key for a while now. To my surprise when I started the car all my settings were reset. Is there anyway to match the settings from the previous key and if I put the original key in will all the settings go back? I have an 04 545 not the push start type of fob. Thanks fellas

Each key store their own settings so just program the new key to what your other key has and they will both be the same.
