USB/iPod interface memory limitation?
Have you investigated the idv2/idv3 tags on the files in question? I have used Winamp on the PC with good results. The song/artist/album/genre information is driven by the idv2 and idv3 tags embedded in the mp3 files. I suspect you will find a few blank or excessively long names, possibly including punctuation that confuses the iDrive player. Be on the lookout for apostrophe, ampersand, quotation marks, backslash, and percent. I once owned a Sandisk player that behaved very strangely until I cleaned up the idv2 and idv3 tags.

Are you saying you use Winamp to edit the tags or is there a better way to do it?

Thanks. I'll try to play around this weekend if I get some time.
Anyone have a clue why the .M3U playlists aren't working? I'm thinking there's something to do with relative paths, etc.
(More info on the playlist issue is here: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=playlist)
