My Ride: '06 530i -6speed - Comfort Seats - Premium Package - Premium Sound Package - Cold Weather Package - Ventilated Seats - Xenon -HUD - PDC - Nav
mine works now too - i'm on v.15.2 - from v.13.2 - cd text works in the CD in dash, and the DVD in dash. next i'll try some MP3 cd/dvd - but i doubt that will work.

Well, by studying all your answers and checking everyone's signature, I guess you have to have NAV to get CD-Text to work. That kinda sucks...

there have been a lot of debates about this poblem. From the other posts, I can conclude that in dash cd without NAV wont show the CD text. A lot of people with NAV have cd text on their idrive screen.

Just to throw my two cents in...
I have NAV and my CD Text DOES work when I play burned CDs. Most factory CDs don't have it unless it's from Sony Records (so I've noticed anyway).
I use Nero and it encodes the text on there properly. The best way to check it is to use a stereo that does display it (my 200 Disc Sony CD player at home does also) and then thow that CD in the car. It only shows on the main CD screen (like the screen shot up above). It does not show on the Main Menu or Nav screens, etc. Just the Entertainment CD screen.
