I have not used this product; however, I wonder how different this product is to Chevron Techron.

Hey Pcy! Hope all is well.

I think I use Chevron Techron fuel injection cleaner more than I should. O'reilly Auto Parts have a buy one get one free special right now. ;-)

I was hoping that new stuff I found would fix my cylinder #4 misfire problem. I have an appointment for this Thursday to see if they can fix it without spending almost $300 for the ignition/fuel injection wiring harness.

I never had any trouble with My N52B30 car. On my M20B25 e30, I sent the injectors off to be cleaned (it now has 225k miles), but never had any compression issues. M1 15W50 FTW?

OP, that has COP, right? Try moving a coil and see if the problem follows the coil. Also pull a few plugs and read them.

good idea in the video. but most engines, the cylinder and pistons arent vertical, so the liquid will just sit on one side of the cylinder.

I just bought and put in my tank a 20 oz bottle of the Chevron Techron. I only have 25K miles on the car but thought it wouldn't hurt any. Thinking out loud, I wonder if you pulled the plugs and poured in this or seafoam, let it sit and then run the car if it would clean the combustion chamber and valves? Kind of preventative medicine alternative to having it walnut blasted later.

I run techron twice during each oil cycle which is every 4-5K miles. The last time being right before I change my oil. My understanding is that extend use of techron can degrade the oil quality. Techron vapor will mix with the oil during combustion. Having the N54 engine, techron is a must to keep the high pressure fuel pump running clean and the injectors clear. If I don't run it I will start to see misfire/hesitation develop when the engine is cold. I have 66K miles on the car.

Not sure there is much us BMW owners can do to avoid the carbon build up except save up for the walnut blasting in advance…
