I had the 16.2 upgrade installed today and hoped it was the cure-all.
It was the cure-some.
1) The new nav screen with perspective view is nice. it gives you a better feel of what's up ahead even though the street names are limited to major highways. You still have map view for details. You have a left side sub-menu for settings so you can stay in nav screen while making changes.
2) Still no RDS
3) Major bug fix: Shift points are wider so you don't seem to shift into 2nd at 10 feet.
4) Most hesitation and delay are gone (almost seems normal)
5) Rain sensing wipers and adaptive headlights are operating normally again.
There may be more but I just picked it up and am still looking for differences.

I had my iDrive upgraded yesterday to 16.2 and the best feature added is MP3 ..?
I felt? that steering wheel become smoother.

Do you have Nav? CD changer?
Glad to see someone has it! Can hardly wait 'til they make it available for the rest of us...

Mp3s work well but CD song names still only work with in-dash player, not with CD changer

[/quote]Yeah, Mp3's burned onto a CD.
For my ipod, I still use the FM transmitter since there is still no factory approved (in US) Aux input that will work with i drive

I have 16.2 with NAV, no MP3. I would love to see a picture as well. My understanding is that it will not work until September. I am very interested to see it working on your unit.

Sorry,
False alarm.
The CD Iwas using was copied from an MP3 file but was burned as an audio file.
I tried it again burning it as MP3 but it would not work.
