really?...how so?
Well it sounds worse than FM. That said, silly me for not doing any research on it and just assuming it sounds good because it is digital.

Anyway, there are people who love it (Stern fans for one) - but for me, I sure wish I had ordered the HUD instead of Sirius.....

Has anyone here actually used this? I was reading about it in the manual, but haven't tried it. It seems rather cumbersome having to program from the idrive for a set time, as opposed to just hitting a switch on the remote or something. If it really worked to cool the car it would be useful here in Houston, TX in the summer, but I don't know how practical it would be having to set the time in advance, since I rarely leave work at the same time each day.

This has been one of the most useful features for me...who get's so hot all the time. I set it just before we all drive off for lunch and it's cooled the car a bit. When I'm not sure...I set both settings with a couple guesses as to when I am leaving ...I usually get it right. It was helpful when we were over 100F every day a couple weeks ago! It's pretty quick to set up once you get used to it.

Audi does this (or at least did it years ago) with solar collectors embedded behind the glass sunroof...
Yep, was an optional feature on the A8/S8 back in 2004 maybe

My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
Default

Fifty three days after delivery, 550 sport, carbon paint

Least used in Georgia USA: Heated seats, heated steering wheel and skibag (what?s a ski?)

Favorites: HUD, Active cruise, Bluetooth and that foot pedal on the right.

Least understood: 20,000 seat adjustments and associated exit/entry response, (pinches my under thigh when wearing shorts) and oh yes, the Owners Manual.

Least needed/much fun: Night vision.

Regards, SixCard

I would have agreed with you a month ago but in the last month I've used the fold down seats twice. Wthout the ability to fold them down, I never would have been able to fit everything in my trunk and wouldn't have been able to take my car on the trips. They are quite easy to fold and it really increases the space tremendously.
I agree completely. Fold down rear seats are awesome.

MY Bluetooth option, complete waste of money, m Nokia does not work , and nor do the newer models.

This was a pointless extra for me now.
I love this option and it works really great. the call comes over your speakers and kills the music till your done. This was one of the options I had to have in the car.

Have to agree with Rudy, never used the air bags and hope I never will. As far as the other options I enjoy using all the ones I ordered and will add a few more on my next BMW. If I'm not mistaken the OP wanted to know about the options you ordered on your car not all the do dads that are standard and you don't use,you know like cup holders ,rear fold dowm arm rest etc.
cheers

Haven't used the heated rear seats yet, IIRC, but I'm sure I will at some point. Rarely use the TV either - the reception's pretty rubbish and I'm rarely sat around waiting with the handbrake on.

Apart from that, I use everything, and my car has just about every option that was available at the time!
