Underpanel removal.
So I was under my car doing an oil change yesterday and noticed that a section of my underpanel was soaked with oil (i think). I didn't feel it or anything. it's not leaking through the panel. it just looks like something is leaking from the inside ontop of it.
the picture shows the location. anyone have an idea of what it may be? is it hard to remove this panel to see for myself what it is? It's the area marked by red circle.

When first removing the drain plug, oil shoots out and splashes that area unless you divert it. I just did an oil change as well and replaced the drain plug with a Fumoto valve, so the next time I can drain the old oil through a plastic tube.
Really? Cause that would put my mind at ease. I didn't really notice alot of oil shooting or splashing out. Just draining downward really. By the looks of the area ( approx. 1 foot wide diameter stain), seems like more than a few splashes. Although, I'm not getting an error messages on iDrive. The car runs fine. I don't know. I'm at a total loss.

You wont know until you remove the panel-could be anything... its pretty simple actually. Only a couple screws.

I used a piece of milk carton plastic to divert the oil and was glad I did, or I would have had a mess. It would have soaked my under panel. Hopefully, that's what caused yours.
