Guys..

While driving on the highway tonight a piece of road debris slammed against my undercarriage. It put a two inch crack in the protective plastic cover right under the passenger seat.

DOES anyone know... Is there anything important under the passenger seat that can get damaged by water? Like electric componets... maybe im being paranoid...

TIA!

Not sure about under the seat. I don't believe there are any major electronic components outside of the sub woofers and seat movement components. Did the crack violate the car cabin? I would hope there was a metal subfloor, but I guess not. Visit your dealer and have it inspected and sealed ASAP, as you don't want undercarriage exhaust gases to enter the cabin, especially while idle with windows up. Let us know how it turns out.

The crack did not get passed the plastic cover that is right underneath the car... It did not come any where close to touching the metal. Sorry I should have made that clearer..

Get it sealed / repaired after you're sure any accumulated water had been drained - don't want any corrosive action starting under there!

I just talked to my Service Advisor... he said the plastic shield just protects fuel lines and such. Ill have it looked at when I take her in for other service.

Anyone else ever crack the undercarriage plastic?
