"9 ? Will LPG go up in price?
LPG will track fuel price increases. There has been an agreement in place with the Govt that the price rises will be proportional. The information is a bit sketchy, but its safe to assume, that LPG will always be around half the cost of unleaded, at least until around 2011 when it will be reviewed."
can never understand why it should go up with petrol prices. I would have thought LPG is much better than diesel or petrol so if this government was serious about doing something to reduce our need for petrol, they should not have the fuel tax escalator on LPG.
TO be honest if it was me wanting to put LPG, I would have bought the V8 engine E60 and then converted it. Would break even in costs much earlier and on the days when heart rules the right foot, the V8 will always tickle my fancy versus the six pot.
cheers

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing! And as above, what is that in your driver's footwell!?! PLEASE don't say it's a chequer plate mate!! If it is, that's what little "rude boys" put in their Escorts. NOT in a BMW!!

My Ride: W211 E350 sport
My experience of LPG
Very interested to see this posting.
I presently have a MB W211 E350 sport which a full lpg conversion. As a BMW fanatic, I intend in due course to return to the fold and possibly converting an E60 to gas myself.
I sometimes get 60 litres into my wheel well tank for which I get 275 miles range.
60 litres of unleaded delivers me 325 miles so it is significantly cheaper to run on gas.
I would cite the main annoyance being that it is often not possible to fill the gas tank up to capacity reducing range still further.
From my experience of owning an E60, the wheel well is quite shallow because only designed to take a space saver which would affect the fitting of a gas tank there but I may be wrong judging by the pictures.
