My Ride: E60 525i SE Auto - My first BMW & RWD !
Fantastic offer, thanks so much! It would be great if you could spare the time for me!
Naturally it makes PERFECT sense, obviously driving slow and defensive (what I do right now) is a good first stage defense, but being a good driver (vs thinking that you are one) is really the best defense in a really wrong situation. I do not think one can become a good driver by driving slow
Safety is my biggest concern, since I drive my family in that car... So I feel I need to be a better driver and learn to predict car's behavior in an "unlikely" extreme situation. That is also exactly why I bought BMW vs say Audi. I clearly understand it is a very fine tool that gives you much more control over the situation than your average CAR, but only if you know how to use it.
Once again, thanks for the great offer! I will have friends visiting for the New Year, but starting January 2-nd - whenever you have time!
All the best,
M-Leon (Nor)

In a word no........the road is really not somewhere you wanna familiarise yourself, to get fully acquainted with the transition from FWD to RWD you need to overstep the limit to understand how to stay below the limit, does that make sense ?? Or you can just drive it normally and keep well below the limits ( for me personally the chassis dynamics are 99% the reason for owning and driving a BMW tho )
Your welcome to hook up with me sometime if you like and I will gladly give you some driver training / advice as well as demonstration etc........
When I was a young lad in a Mk2 Escort ( RWD ) I thought I could drive, I nearly killed myself one time when I got sideways coming off a roundabout, I did pretty much everything wrong even tho I thought I could do it all right , I would hate for you to make the same mistakes

Evenin guys
Just wondering if anyone in the UK has had their dealer enable MP3 playback on their E60?
There is a service bulletin out for this, which allegedly the dealer will carry out free of charge. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience on this?
I'm looking at getting the iPod interface fitted, but it requires this option to be enabled 1st.
