your right about the on board computer...i justed checked the options list...
and according to the equipment form...out all models have an "on-board computer" and an Optional "on-board computer with extended features"....the extended features come as standart on the 540i, 550i, 535d...
but i have no idea what the difference is.....

Thanks w8pmc - it's a Nokia issue apparently. Although bluetooth is a standard, there seem to be different levels. The 6680 doesn't support whatever the phonebook sharing standard is
wrt to the power outlets, I think this came in at the same time as the i-pod connectivity (week 9 build). Mine was build in Nov 2005 (so '06MY) and doesn't have it...

The 535d has always had advanced air con. And wrt the rear power outlets - my 535d was built in September 05 (collected October 4th 2005) and does have the power outlets.

I've just checled in mine & the armrest does indeed slide forward although it don't look that good when forward & i guess my arms are just long enough not to need the armrest moved.
Defo got no rear power outlets, just a little storage slot under the rear air vents, so i guess only 06MY cars have this. Mine was built Aug 05 & supplied Sept 05.

I don't think it's anything to do with model year, more something to do with specifications. I have a similar spec to you, except I have fold down rear seats. Perhaps that's why I have them.
