Hey, Rudy! Irony indeed!

quote from article
Stein, though, will try to prove that the DVD player was on, apparently playing the movie "Road Trip."

More like "DVD Trip." <_<

Though I agree no one should be watching movies while driving...
But what about your passenger ?
That's why I want to have the ability to watch TV/DVD while the car is in motion.

And how's this for a "Road Trip":

Trial examines role of dashboard electronics
*** In his truck was the equivalent of a home entertainment system -- a DVD player, speakers and a Sony PlayStation 2. ***

OMG, the guy is a maniac; he had speakers in there!

Back to the topic, even if you get them to somehow remove that line, still on a Nav unit the screen is too wide, and any movie is stretched almost beyond liking, so they should have the capability to only display the image on the larger side of the split screen, at least make it an option so those who don't want the super stretched image. Gaming aswell would be distorted, I hope that you can make it so the image is either centered and NOT super stretched, on my Kenwood KVT-915DVD it has a "Mode" button, which most in-dash dvd screens have, theis button allows you to put it 4:3, 16:9, and Full and so on.

Peace
