I've noticed that whenever I turn off the radio in our car (by pushing the volume knob), it also silences the parking sensors. This seems stupid - am I missing an iDrive setting somewhere?
I've taken to "turning off" the radio by just turning the volume all the way down until it's silent, but that's no use if you've got a CD playing as it just keeps playing rather than stopping.
Shurely Shome Mishtake?

I'm not sure that it'll work, as I though I could not tune the PDC all the way down to zero volume.

Before a ton of people start saying it doesn't work on their car, I think the adjustable PDC volume is only available on non-nav (M-ASK) cars...

I'll give it a try just in case. The sat nav spoken instruction volume is adjustable in this way so you never know.
Parking sensor alerts function just fine regardless of volume button position. I swear it hasn't worked before though.
Anyway in playing around with it just now I realised that pressing the volume position while a CD is playing does not pause it! It just mutes it. Is there a way of pausing the CD without having to switch to a radio station and press mute? This seems daft (possibly it's just me again not realising something!).

The CD pause while muted function was fixed in software -- are you the original owner or are you familiar with the service history of the car?

We bought it 3 weeks ago, it's a 10/2004 model as per sig. It's had some kind of software update I know because the PRO Nav has the Perspective view.
