Curious... how do you leave your lights on all night? Doesn't your car have auto lights? Also, if you choose to change to manual... the car "yells" at you if you stop the car, open the door, and leave the lights on, no?

Hello, has anyone figured out what is going on? My car started this last week and seems to do it when it sits in traffic. Once everything cools down, all is well. Today I pulled out a relay in the trunk fuse box and it did the same exact Christmas effect. I put the relay back in the all was well again, so I believe it may be the relay???? What do you all think?

Sorry, I should have come back with my fix on this.
It was the alternator. It put out intermittant voltage spikes and all the various electronic modules have built in overvoltage protection so they shut down momentarily and you get the faults. Soon as the alternator was replaced all was well.
I had at least three new batteries in te car during all this and the symptoms never changed during this period so it is not low battery that causes this just in case anybody wonders about that.

happened to my car, battery was weak, so it started shutting down major controllers, you will be fine with a new battery or recharge the battery,...

Wow, the exact thing just finished happening to me, exact same msgs/errors! Car cranked alotttt longer than normal before starting aswell... it said "high battery drain" as well, "check terminals"... turned the car off, waited 15mins, turned it back on, everything was gone, expect bloody "increased emssions light"
