Just to get this controversy going again until the F10 comes out with the new blue turn signal. (Green in Europe).

Take a look at this...

I've always found it very strange the way rear lights and turn indicators work in the states. The "rest of the world" system is much better with a separate colour and separate light for the indicator.

I just pay attention when I drive, that makes accidents less likely. Imagine that: paying attention and I have not hit anything in nearly 20 years of driving, go figure. Maybe if people were smart enough not to eat, chat on the phone, drink, put on makeup, or beat their kids, or pick their nose. Maybe, just maybe, we could all avoid accidents regardless of what color the damn turn signals are.

In the US many cars do use the two color system, it's just not mandated like it is elsewhere. Prior to my 2004 545, I had a GMC Yukon XL (big SUV for those across the pond) and it had amber turn signals. My 2004 545 had the amber turn signal as well, not sure why BMW changed to red here in the US...

That's a joke about the blue/green signals, right?

Fine by me!! Does it really matter what the color is when the majority of drivers here in the states don't use the damn things anyway?

Lost my golden in January to cancer. We had to put her down. Miss her every day, she was a member of our family. The most loving dog on earth.
