Another thought is to find the electrical connection near the latch - probably right under the cover and just unplug it for the time being. You'll need to unlock using the key in the meantime - but at least it won't be "popping" open while you are driving.

I had the same problem for a while, it seems my Mother-in-Law found out how to open the trunk from the inside!
Please let me know if anyone figures out a way to KEEP it closed!!

Sometimes the rubber membrane that "seals" the area where the microswitch is (above the license plate) will pop out of it's normal position and cause the switch to be pressed by itself. Double check that the rubber membrane looks and feels properly seated just to be sure.
If that isn't the problem, then surely a dealer has to get involved. There may be something else causing that circuit to release the latch...

No offense but I never understood the whole comfort access thing. Personally I prefer to lock and unlock the car manually and I do not think that it's worth the $1000 just so I don't have to put the box in the ignition before pushing the start button. For the money they should include a remote start function, in which case it would be more then worth it. I would rather spend my money on something that's really worth it like an anthracite headliner. Well okay, that's a complete rip off too but I just had to have it

Took it to the dealer and they fixed it. a sensor was bad somewhere.
I am not 100% sure I would re-order comfort access, is easier to lock and unlock the car with the remote, the onky real advantage I find is that I can start the engine faster, just get in the car, foot on barke and push start.

I recall many people posting problems about windows opening and doors unlocking before the advent of CA so spurious electronics problems have always been present and I haven't seen anything that shows me that CA exacerabtes them.
