I assume u have tried this with both remote keys and got the same results. That would place the fault back in the vehicle somewhere.

And don't bother messing with the position of the key -- it has no bearing on the remote opening feature...

That's exactly what I thought.... the position of the trunk lock does not have any bearing on the remote opening.

Good point about trying both keys. Did not do that yet. Hopefully will try after the wife gets back home.

It actually works!!!! Had to hold the button down for approx 1 sec and release. Viola!! the trunk opens magically. Anything shorter did not work.

Thanks for the advice guys!!

mine is still the same . has its own mind . hold it x sec today, it opens. hold it the same amount of time tomorrow, it doesn't. hold it longer, alarm goes off. now i have to hold it in a very short period of time and hope it opens. if not, a little bit longer. every time is a challenge for me now .

I'm thinking that they made a software adjustment to the sensitivity.

I find that I'm not setting off the panic alarm anymore and I'm able to open the trunk much more consistently. They either adjusted something or I've adapted quite well to the timing...
