Hello All,
I bought a 2006 530d euro model a month ago, the car is great, I really love it, no problems what so ever, but today, my first problem, I can't open my trunk by pressing the trunk button (on the trunk), I can open it without any problems from the key... does anyone know what the problem might be ? Is it a setting problem or something. It worked just fine until today.
Thanks in advance for any advice/guidence.

Tried that, but still nothing... I looked/unlocked it by inserting the key, turning it, tried pressing the button, nothing, turned the key total left and popped open.... as I said, it opens when I press the release button on my key, if I insert my key it opens, but it will not open when the car is unlocked and press the button on the trunk

Well your car is 06 right? Then the dealer should replace it for free.

As others have said, it may be some confusion on how the valet lock works. Take a look here:

If that's no help, then read on...
There's a little microswitch underneath the rubber "boot" (just above the license plate) that you press to open the trunk. Sometimes that switch can fail and other times, the rubber boot can get dislodged and prevent the switch from operating properly.
Before going to the dealer, check the boot and/or see if you can hear the microswitch closing (a slight clicking sound can be heard) when you press on the rubber boot.
