Thanks a lot guys, but still nothing, the car had a 2 year warranty... 01/2006 - 01/2008 so the warranty expired, I am the second owner

The trunk is not in valet mode, the trunk is not locked, everything is in the correct position but still nothing. I'll visit my dealership today and see if it can be fixed.

@Rudy: I can hear the microswitch soft clicking.... but the clicking sound is coming from the microswitch (mechanical sound)....

If you haven't already done so, take the metal key and put it in the keyhole of the trunk. After that, rotate the cylinder back and forth (from stop to stop) a few times -- maybe the contact in the lock that tells the car it's in valet mode will reset itself? It's a long shot but worth a try...

I am sure you already know this but just in case... you know that you have to hold the trunk button in for a sec or two. It's not just a click like the door locks. Does the trunk unlock button in the cabin work?

Just got the car back from the shop, and it's fixed, took about 2 hours to fix, it seemed to be a cable/wiring problem, they changed the wire and everything works just fine.

They told me that the reason could be slaming the boot to hard ( I doubt it)
