So I made my last app't with the dealership today under my full warranty 4yr/50k.
I have the change micro filter warning on I drive and its been 1 year from my last oil change.
My SA claimed you get a change once a year no matter the mileage! So great I have only put 4k in one year lets change it!

Here's the thing I noticed...it stated on my paper work to do a "low mileage" oil change?
So I asked my SA and he stated its nothing different than a normal oil change only they don't reset your
Idrive oil indicator. He states this keeps you current?!!! My Idrive thinks I have about 4k miles left to drive before the oil is changed!

So whats the difference? If its a full oil change why not reset the oil indicator?
Should I reset after I get my car back or what? If not, will the idrive still think I need to change again in about 4k?

Thanks in advance

I call BS. What it does is require you to make a trip to the dealer or other service provider to clear the oil change message when it pops up in 4k miles... Now owning your car out of warranty, you may do oil changes more frequently so less of an annoyance but given that it took you a year to put the last 4k miles on the car, it will be a year until this is an issue.
