Hows it going everyone. For the past few months I've been posting about a "Transmission Failsafe" warning that kept appearing on my IDrive. I took my 04 525 to the dealer on Tuesday, and they told me today that BMW has authorized a transmission swap! This is the second time I had to take the car to the dealer for this problem. Does BMW usually switch an entire transmission out? I thought i would have to take the car in many times for something this extreme. Any thoughts guys?
