Just came back from picking up my ride. Was in since Tuesday. Got an extended "test drive" in an X3. Remarkably better than I had expected. I almost got used to driving it. Now that I'm back in my 5 I remember why I bought it.

End result: Service guy said it was a "brake sensor" that caused all of the error codes. Uh... whatever. Upgraded to 13.? No issues on the hour long ride home. Car runs great. Need to reset the EQ and lost the NAV address book. Also noticed that when turning off DSC the letters DTC appear instead of the icon. Also, it fixed my steering wheel. It now goes up when I turn off the car. I'll post if I find any more differences.

Invoice stated Brake Switch (not brake sensor) 1 61-31-6928-031 SWITCH.

I previously has a Dynamic Drive Failure and a "Transmission Fault" and a "Active Steering Failure". All reset after restarting the car. All happened within a few week period at around 2500 mile, now have 7000. The problems never reoccured.

I had a DD failure today. I was doing a mild corner when the chime went off. OBC gave serious messages and told me to go directly to my service center. Well I went directly home, rebooted in the garage and all is well.

I had a DD failure message a week or so ago during a torrential rain storm right after I drove through deep water on one side of the car (the kind of water that collects along a curb and lets you spray water up on a sidewalk.)

It went away as quickly as it appeared -- no reboot needed.

I got another active steering failure message on Monday. Turned car off and restarted. All has been well ever since.
