<_<

Hi everyone. I am new here, but have looked into a LOT of interesting threads.

I am about to buy an E60, 520iA -04 mod, and have had a short test drive with the salesperson.
the thing is that under this short drive I saw a message on the OBC display that said something like: Transmission Error, drive moderate, contact you BMW dealer.

This seems serious to me.

After a short stop for fuelling, I started the engine again and drove back. This time no error shown!

Is there a possibillity that something is about to happen with the transmission on this baby?

A BMW Tech would need to hook the car up to their diagnostic gear and extract the stored failure code(s) to know what went wrong. I would insist on them doing that and explaining it fully before I would consider making them an offer. If you do buy it, be sure you have warranty coverage on the trans.
