Get yourself a stick shift and never look back. Once I had a automatic tranny fail on my S500 MB that's when I decided that I will never buy automatic again.

Good luck

i think i will get this route too: solenoids and solenoid accumulators and valve body separator plate
thx u verry much

now i have to find "that shop" that will do that (
by the way..i went to get my car today since they cant reproduce the "bang" so..ofcourse..on the way home.."bang"from 5th to 6th ( i did push it a bit hard .change the gears at around 6000rpm)
they recommand like in OP to replace transmission ($7000 incld megathronic unit .all part.tax and labor) or just megathronic unit($3800) wich include those solenoids and solenoid accumulators and the valve body separator plate that OP replace )because
PER BMW NA they dont sell just solenoids as separate parts...plus he mention that because the age 8 years( but the miles he said are great ~63k) and the way i drive it( i have the paddle shifter) will most likely cause a transmission failure (

Have you tried changing the oil n resetting the adaptation values?
As long as you can find a workshop who knows how to do this procedure, might as well try it, because its way cheaper than buying new mechatronic unit.
I was watching my mechanic doing it, its not that difficult actually...just need to be careful when u open the valve body, there are 9 very small black balls that u have to remember the positions (take picture), cleaning the valvebody, and clean the excess materials from the old seperator plate. And put back everything together....not too difficult....
In the previous car, i only changed the solenoids without changing the accumulators, the downshifting was still a bit jerky and moving from N to D was quite a jolt...this time its good..
Good luck dude

Look for a reputable transmission shop that is familiar (and good) with later electronically controlled ZF transmissions. It's not just BMW that used the 6HPXX transmission in their cars; Rover, Hyundai, Chrysler, and Ford all use the same ZF transmissions in multiple cars. Any place that can work on the transmission in say, a 2011 Mustang can work on the transmission in your car.

Good luck.
