My cousin recently bought an 05/06 CL65 and that thing is a beast! I had the privilege of driving it one night and before I got behind the wheel, I could honestly say I was a bit scared because I'd never driven a car with 600 horses... but 30 seconds after I drove it, I was confident... I think that's the problem with it. Its design makes the car less scary for its speed and in return there's less of an adrenaline rush. But it was still great and better than my 545, that's for sure... although I didn't really experiment with its handling, but I was doing 90-100 on Oxnard Blvd effortlessly

A little off topic but my point is that MB doesn't give the adrenaline rush you'd expect from so many horses.
