trade 535 for e55?

My Ride: 2007 custom Range Rover, 2005 745li, FULL custom 1950 mercury, chopped and flame throwers, 1930 model A rat rod, nasty little bastard!! soon to be custom bmw 550 all white and black.

Someone offered me a trade today.. my 535i for his e55, my car has 20k miles his has 30k his is an 04..mine is an 08..... That e55 is NASTY, and a serious rocket!!
anyones opinions?

Wouldn't do it. I would rather sacrifice a few horses than a warranty.

04 AMG = out of factory warranty. I would say no go, especially with what the 535 is capable of with a tune/some bolt ons.

AMG cars are not the best to own without a warranty, repairs/maintenance can be ridiculous money. My buddy has an 2003 S63, and that thing is beautiful, but the repair/maintenance costs add up big time.

I would stick with the E60.

I heard the maintenance is alot on those AMG cars, and a brake job is like 1200 on those brembos..Thanks for the info Ryan!!

ya, just a thought...and now a passing one!! sometimes you just need a kick in the pants...

If money isn't an issue, then it seems the MB is the way to go. You can sugar coat the decision by throwing on a JB3, but it seems like at the higher speeds the 8 cylinders will beat our 6's. Off the line though, the JB3 seems like it'll be alotta fun.

Bottom line. NO WARRANTY,,, but its got this badass seat thing it does when you go around thecorner, the deat moves the oposite way so it keeps you hard in the seat...
